
You may not think much of it from the outward appearance, but the Panasonic Lumix GH1 is a very powerful visual tool. It is a multi-talented digital camera - taking pictures at 12 megapixels, as well as video at full resolution HD (1920x1080p).
The video functionality is of course what caught my attention when I first heard about this camera a few months ago. It records at 24p in 1080 mode - giving you a very film-like look. In the 720p mode it records 60p, that when converted, gives you a true 40% slow motion.
UPS just delivered mine yesterday afternoon and so naturally I was up for the better part of the night figuring out the workflow. Here are just a couple shots to give you a glimpse of the camera's quality:
